Authorizing to Receive Grant Funding from Grant #21-203121 Construction of a Multi-Use Facility at the Kane County Judicial Center Campus

WHEREAS, Kane County has prepared and submitted an application to the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) applying for Seven Hundred and Fifty Thousand Dollars ($750,000) DCEO Grant as partial funding for the HVAC installation in the Multi-use facility at the Kane County Judicial Center Campus; and
WHEREAS, Kane County has received a notice of award from DCEO indicating it has been awarded a Seven Hundred and Fifty Thousand Dollars ($750,000) DCEO Grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Kane County Board authorizes the acceptance of the Seven Hundred and Fifty Thousand Dollars ($750,000) DCEO grant and authorizes the Kane County Board Chairman to sign all grant documents as necessary to facilitate the County’s application, acceptance and administration of the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) Grant Program; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Kane County Board authorizes the following adjustment to the Fiscal Year 2023 budget; 500.800.805.72010 Capital Building Improvements: Grant #21-203121 $750,000.
