Resolution Approving a Collective Bargaining Agreement with the Forest Preserve District of Kane County

WHEREAS, the FOREST PRESERVE DISTRICT OF KANE COUNTY, Kane County, Illinois, recognizes the Metropolitan Alliance of Police, Forest Preserve District of Kane County Police Officers, Chapter #315 as the exclusive bargaining agent for the purpose of establishing wages, hours, and other conditions of employment for all full-time police officers employed by the District following an election and certification by the Illinois Labor Relations Board under Case, No. S-RC-24-021, dated November 14, 2023; and
WHEREAS, the FOREST PRESERVE DISTRICT OF KANE COUNTY, Kane County, Illinois, and the Metropolitan Alliance of Police, Forest Preserve District of Kane County Police Officers, Chapter #315 have been engaged in good faith negotiations concerning the wages, hours and other terms and conditions of employment in relation to the Police Officers bargaining unit for the terms of a collective bargaining agreement; and
WHEREAS, the parties have reached an agreement concerning the wages, hours and other terms and conditions of employment to be included in a new collective bargaining agreement covering the period from July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2029.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the Forest Preserve District of Kane County, Kane County, Illinois, that the President is hereby authorized and directed to enter into and execute, on behalf of the Forest Preserve District, the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Forest Preserve District and the Metropolitan Alliance of Police in relation to the Police Officers bargaining unit, a copy of which agreement will be kept on file at the Forest Preserve District Headquarters.
