Approving a Contract for Construction with Plote Construction Inc. of Hoffman Estates, Illinois for Longmeadow Parkway Section C-2B, Kane County Section No. 21-00215-29-CH

WHEREAS, the Kane County Division of Transportation has solicited and received bids for the work and construction described as:
KANE COUNTY SECTION NO. 21-00215-29-CH
LONGMEADOW PARKWAY SECTION C-2B
FROM EAST OF SANDBLOOM ROAD TO BOLZ ROAD CONNECTOR
(hereinafter the “Project”)
WHEREAS, the lowest responsible bidder for the Project is:
PLOTE CONSTRUCTION INC. OF HOFFMAN ESTATES, ILLINOIS
with a low bid of
$3,105,000.00
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that a contract for the Project described hereinabove shall be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder in the amount as indicated hereinabove and that the County Board Chairman is hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract and contractor’s bond therefor.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that there is hereby appropriated One Million Seven Hundred Twenty Thousand Dollars ($1,720,000.00) from North Impact Fee Fund #558, Line Item #73000 (Road Construction) and One Million Three Hundred Eighty Five Thousand Dollars ($1,385,000.00) from Motor Fuel Tax Fund #302, Line Item #73000 (Road Construction) for a total of $3,105,000.00 to pay for the Project.
