Authorizing a Second Contract Renewal with JEG 360, LLC, for Consulting Services as an Economic Advisor for Kane County

WHEREAS, Kane County Development and Community Services is seeking to authorize renewal of a contract with JEG 360, LLC, a consulting firm, to serve as an economic development advisor for Kane County including participating in the Greater Chicagoland Economic Partnership, the development of a strategic economic development plan, and for the formation and launch of a public/private partnership economic development organization for Kane County; and
WHEREAS, the Kane County Board approved the initial contract with JEG 360, LLC in Resolution 23-253, which had an initial 1 (one) year term and allowed the parties to renew the agreement annually for up to 2 (two) additional years; and
WHEREAS, JEG 360, LLC, has utilized their extensive economic development experience as an advisor to Kane County staff in guiding the economic development strategic plan, responding to regional and federal economic initiatives, and assisting in pursing economic development opportunities in Kane County; and
WHEREAS, Kane County Development and Community Services will pay for the requested consulting services with $95,000.00 (Ninety-five Thousand Dollars) of the County’s costs with funding from the County’s SLFRF award, in accordance with ARPA and the Final Rule, and/or Fund 400 Economic Development.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Kane County Board that the Kane County Board is approves the attached one-year extension agreement with JEG 360, LLC in an amount not to exceed $95,000.00 (Ninety-five Thousand Dollars); and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Kane County Board hereby authorizes the Kane County Board Chairman to execute a contract renewal agreement with JEG 360, LLC in the form of the agreement attached here to.
