Authorizing a Contract Extension for the Mill Creek SSA Holiday Lights & Décor Services with It’s a Wonderful Light (BID# 22-029)

WHEREAS, bids were solicited for the Mill Creek SSA Holiday Lights & Décor Services (BID# 22-029). A total of four (4) bids were received; and
WHEREAS, the lowest responsive, responsible bidder, as per bid documents and specifications was It’s a Wonderful Light of Elk Grove Village, IL; and
WHEREAS, this was a two (2) year contract with option to extend for three (3) additional one (1) year renewal periods if mutually agreed upon by both parties. This is the third and final one (1) year renewal; and
WHEREAS, the cost for the third-year extension is Nine Thousand Six Hundred Thirty-Two Dollars and Ninety-Six cents ($9,632.96). We are also including a Five Thousand Dollar ($5,000) allowance to cover add on items per the Mill Creek Advisory Body Board for a total of Fourteen Thousand Six Hundred Thirty-Two Dollars and Ninety-Six cents ($14,632.96); and
WHEREAS, adequate funds have been budgeted and are available in the FY2026 Mill Creek SSA operating budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that the Chairman thereof is authorized and directed to execute the final one (1) year contract extension with It’s a Wonderful Light, 695 Lunt Ave., Elk Grove Village, IL 60007 for an amount not to exceed Fourteen Thousand Six Hundred Thirty-Two Dollars and Ninety-Six cents ($14,632.96) which include the extension amount of Nine Thousand Six Hundred Thirty-Two Dollars and Ninety-Six cents ($9,632.96) and Five Thousand Dollar ($5,000) allowance to cover add on items per the Mill Creek Advisory Body Board.
