Approving a Phase II Engineering Services Agreement with Christopher B. Burke Engineering, Ltd. of Rosemont, Illinois for Randall Road at Hopps Road Intersection Improvements, Kane County Section No. 19-00511-00-CH

WHEREAS, Phase II Engineering services are required for Kane County Highway No. 34 (Randall Road) at Hopps Road Intersection Improvements, Kane County Section No. 19-00511-00-CH (herein collectively referred to as the “Project”); and
WHEREAS, in order to accomplish the Project, it is necessary to retain the services of a professional engineering firm to provide Phase II Engineering services therefor; and
WHEREAS, Christopher B. Burke Engineering, Ltd., 9575 West Higgins Road, Suite 600, Rosemont, Illinois 60018 has experience and professional expertise in Phase II Engineering and is willing to perform the required services for the Project for an amount not to exceed ($1,294,764.00) as set forth in and pursuant to the terms of a Phase II Engineering services agreement (a copy of which is on file with the County Clerk’s Office).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that a Phase II Engineering Services Agreement with Christopher B. Burke Engineering, Ltd. for the Project at a cost of $1,294,764.00 is hereby approved and the Chairman thereof is hereby authorized to execute an agreement therefor.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Kane County Board appropriate the amount of One Million Two Hundred Ninety Four Thousand Seven Hundred Sixty Four Dollars ($1,294,764.00) from the Motor Fuel Tax Fund #302, Line Item #50140 (Engineering Services) to pay for said Phase II Engineering services for the Project.
