Acceptance and Use of Trust Donation Made to Animal Control

WHEREAS, The Kane County Animal Control (KCAC) Department received a check from the Sylvia R. Snyder estate providing a gift to Kane County Animal Control advising that this gift is unrestricted and can be used for any purposes in connection with animal control in the amount of ten thousand dollars ($10,000.00); and
WHEREAS, KCAC plans to utilize this gift to purchase supplies and enrichment for the animals of Kane County and this facility; and
WHEREAS, KCAC will need a budget adjustment for the additional appropriation of ten thousand dollars ($10,000.00) for the payment of animal supplies and enrichment in the fiscal year 2025 (FY25) budget; and
WHEREAS, the need to appropriate these funds creates an emergency within the meaning of 55 ILCS 5/6-1003.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Kane County Board hereby authorizes a budget adjustment for an additional appropriation of ten thousand dollars ($10,000.00) for the payment of new animal supplies and enrichment as follows:

290.500.500.60140 Animal Care Supplies +$10,000.00
