Approving an Agreement for Phase I Engineering Services with V3 Companies of Woodridge, Illinois for I-88 Tollway Bridge Services, Kane County Section No. 25-00585-00-BR

WHEREAS, Phase I Engineering services are necessary for the Dauberman Road, Main Street, Bliss Road, and County Line Road Over I-88 Tollway Bridge Improvement Project (hereinafter referred to as “Project”); and
WHEREAS, in order to complete the Project, it is necessary to retain the services of a professional engineering firm to perform the Phase I Engineering services for the Project; and
WHEREAS, V3 Companies, 7325 Janes Avenue, Woodridge, Illinois has professional Phase I Engineering expertise and experience, and is willing to perform the Phase I Engineering services for an amount not to exceed Nine Hundred Ninety-Two Thousand, One Hundred Eighty-Seven Dollars ($992,187.00); and
WHEREAS, it is in the County's best interest to enter into a Phase I Engineering services agreement with V3 Companies.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that the Chairman thereof is hereby authorized and directed to execute an agreement (a copy of which is on file with the County Clerk's Office) with V3 Companies for Phase I Engineering services for the Project and any other associated documentation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Kane County Board appropriate an amount not to exceed the sum of Nine Hundred Ninety-Two Thousand, One Hundred Eighty-Seven Dollars ($992,187.00); to pay for Phase I Engineering services for the Project and those said funds be paid from Transportation Sales Tax Fund #305, Line Item # 50140 (Engineering Services).
