Authorizing a Contract for the Fire Alarm System Upgrade (BID #24-011-TK)

WHEREAS, bids have been solicited for the Fire Alarm System Upgrade (BID#24-011-TK) for facilities maintained by Building Management throughout the County of Kane. A total of four (4) bids were received by the January 29, 2024 deadline; and
WHEREAS, the responsive and responsible bidder for the Fire Alarm System Upgrade is ADT Commercial LLC of Lombard, IL; and
WHEREAS, the contract covers the Fire Alarm System Upgrade project in the amount of Two Million Four Hundred and Seventy-Two Thousand Eight Hundred and Ninety-Five Dollars ($2,472,895) with 10% contingency held by the County for a total of Two Million, Seven Hundred and Twenty Thousand, One Hundred and Ninety-Four Dollars ($2,720,194); and
WHEREAS, this will be a prevailing wage project; and
WHEREAS, accordingly, appropriate funds have been budgeted for the FY2024 Building Management budget; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that the Chairman thereof is hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract with ADT Commercial LLC 2505 S Finley Road STE 240, Lombard, IL 60148 for the Fire Alarm System Upgrade project for facilities maintained by Building Management throughout the County of Kane in the amount of Two Million Four Hundred and Seventy-Two Thousand Eight Hundred and Ninety-Five Dollars ($2,472,895) with 10% contingency held by the County for a total of Two Million, Seven Hundred and Twenty Thousand, One Hundred and Ninety-Four Dollars ($2,720,194).
