Approving a Contract for Construction with AC Pavement Striping Co. of Elgin, Illinois for the 2025 Kane County Chip Seal Project, Kane County Section No. 25-00000-02-GM

WHEREAS, the Kane County Division of Transportation has solicited and received bids for the work described as:
KANE COUNTY SECTION NO. 25-00000-02-GM
2025 KANE COUNTY CHIP SEAL PROJECT
(hereinafter the “Project”)
WHEREAS, the lowest responsible bidder for the Project is:
AC PAVEMENT STRIPING CO. OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS
With a low bid of
$794,755.40
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that a contract for the Project described hereinabove shall be awarded to the lowest bidder, AC Pavement Striping Co. of Elgin, Illinois, in the amount as indicated hereinabove and that the County Board Chairman is hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract and contractor’s bond therefor.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that there is hereby appropriated Seven Hundred Ninety-Four Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty-Five and 40/100 Dollars ($794,755.40) from Local Option Fund #304, Line Item #52280 (Pavement Preservation) to pay for the Project.
