Approving and Authorizing Termination of Office Lease at 1750 Grandstand Place, Suite 2, Elgin, Illinois, 60123

WHEREAS, section 5-1005(3) of the Counties Code (55 ILCS 5/5-1005(3)) authorizes the County of Kane make all contracts and do all other acts in relation to the property and concerns of the county necessary to the exercise of its corporate powers; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 5-1004 of the Counties Code (55 ILCS 5/5-1004), the Kane County Board shall exercise the powers of the County Kane as a body corporate or politic; and
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 20-70, the Kane County Board authorized the Kane County Board Chairman to execute a lease with Burnidge Properties, Ltd. for office space for the Kane County Health Department at 1750 Grandstand Place, Suite 2, Elgin, Illinois, 60123; and
WHEREAS, the Kane County Health Department and the Kane County Board have determined that it is in the best interest of the County of Kane to terminate the office lease for the Kane County Health Department at 1750 Grandstand Place, Suite 2, Elgin, Illinois, 60123.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Kane County Board approves of the termination of the office lease with Burnidge Properties, Ltd. at 1750 Grandstand Place, Suite 2, Elgin, Illinois, 60123.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that the Kane County Board Chairman is authorized and directed to execute any required documents and take any and all immediate actions necessary to effectuate this termination subject to the review and advisement of the Kane County State’s Attorney’s Office.
