Authorizing Renewal of a Contract with Flock Safety by the Kane County Sheriff’s Office

WHEREAS, the Kane County Sheriff is responsible for the safety and security of the citizens of Kane County, Illinois, a large and diverse community; and
WHEREAS, the Kane County Sheriff’s Office contracts with and purchases from multiple vendors to provide for and support the crime prevention and solving needs of the office; and
WHEREAS, Flock Safety of Atlanta, Georgia, is a premier company specializing in comprehensive and intelligent holistic public safety equipment providing actionable evidence to solve, deter, and reduce crime across cities and schools; and
WHEREAS, the Kane County Sheriff’s has successfully contracted with Flock Safety for surveillance support around Kane County, demonstrating a significant impact on crime response and prevention; and
WHEREAS, the Kane County Sheriff’s Office contract with Flock Safety is ready to be renewed at a cost of Sixty-One Thousand and 00/100 Dollars ($61,000.00) for 2025, continuing the service of 25 License Plate Reader (LPR) cameras dispersed countywide, including at the Judicial Center complex and the Government Center.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Kane County Board authorizes that the contract between Flock Safety and the Kane County Sheriff’s Office be renewed and payment of Sixty-One Thousand and 00/100 Dollars ($61,000) be made for the 2025 calendar year.
