Authorizing a Contract Extension for General Construction Services with MRRW Construction, LLC for the Kane County Building Management Department (BID# 23-032)

WHEREAS, bids were solicited for General Construction Services (BID# 23-032) for facilities maintained by Building Management throughout the County of Kane. A total of two (2) bids were received and publicly opened on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at 2:30 p.m.; and
WHEREAS, the Building Management Department outsources certain general construction projects which cannot be performed in house by County staff; and
WHEREAS, the contract covers General Construction Services at Kane County Government facilities, and Building Management anticipated service and project needs up to Four Hundred Thousand Dollars ($400,000); and
WHEREAS, the responsive and responsible bidder for General Construction Services is MRRW Construction, LLC of Montgomery, IL; and
WHEREAS, MRRW Construction, LLC will be used on a project-by-project basis. MRRW Construction, LLC has new rates for this extension:

WHEREAS, this is the first one (1) year extension of two (2) available; and
WHEREAS, accordingly, appropriate funds have been budgeted for the FY2026, Building Management budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that the Chairman thereof is hereby authorized and directed to enter into the first one (1) year contract extension with MRRW Construction, LLC, 111 S. Lake St., Suite 101, Montgomery, IL 60538 for General Construction Services on a project-by-project basis in an amount not to exceed Four Hundred Thousand Dollars ($400,000) per fiscal year.
