Authorizing a Contract for Kane County Judicial Center Exterior Lighting Project with Fitzgerald's Electric Contracting, Inc. and the Building Management Department (BID# 24-020-TK)

WHEREAS, bids have been solicited for the Judicial Center Exterior Lighting Project (BID# 24-020-TK) for the Judicial Center campus which is maintained by the Building Management Department. A total of two (2) bids were received by the February 26, 2024 deadline; and
WHEREAS, the responsive and responsible bidder for the Judicial Center Exterior Lighting Project is Fitzgerald’s Electric Contracting, Inc. of Big Rock, IL; and
WHEREAS, the contract covers the Judicial Center Exterior Lighting Project at an amount not to exceed Two Million Five Hundred and Eleven Thousand Four Hundred and Thirty Dollars ($2,511,430) with Two Hundred and Fifty-One Thousand One Hundred and Forty-Three Dollars ($251,143) in contingency for a total of $2,762,573; and
WHEREAS, expenses may be incurred in 2024 and 2025 budget years.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that the Chairman thereof is authorized and directed to enter into contract with Fitzgerald’s Electric Contracting, Inc. located at 6S865 Shaw Road, Big Rock, IL 60511 for the Judicial Center Exterior Lighting Project (BID# 24-020-TK) in the amount not to exceed Two Million Five Hundred and Eleven Thousand Four Hundred and Thirty Dollars ($2,511,430) with Two Hundred and Fifty-One Thousand One Hundred and Forty-Three Dollars ($251,143) in contingency for a total of $2,762,573.
