Approving an Amendment to the Agreement with Thomas Engineering Group, LLC of Lombard, Illinois for On-Call Traffic/Safety Engineering Services, Kane County Section No. 21-00494-00-EG

WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 21-309, the County of Kane approved an “on-call” traffic and safety engineering services Agreement (hereinafter the “Agreement”) with Thomas Engineering, LLC (“Consultant”) and appropriated Four Hundred Thousand Dollars ($400,000.00), (hereinafter the “appropriation”); and
WHEREAS, the terms of the Agreement between the County and Consultant will expire on June 30, 2024; and
WHEREAS, unobligated funds are still available under the original Agreement and Consultant is actively working towards completion of various tasks contemplated within the Agreement; and
WHEREAS, it is in the County’s best interest to extend the end date of the Agreement from June 30, 2024 to November 30, 2024 to expend the allowable funds and provide sufficient time for Consultant to complete all the approved tasks within the Agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that the Amendment to the Agreement with Thomas Engineering Group, LLC is hereby approved and that the Chairman thereof is hereby authorized to execute the Amendment along with any other contemplated by the Agreement and this amendment thereto.
