APPROVING AN APPROPRIATION FOR ANDERSON ROAD BRIDGE MAINTENANCE PURSUANT TO AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH THE VILLAGE OF ELBURN

WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 12-137, the County of Kane (hereinafter the "County") entered into an Intergovernmental Agreement ("IGA") with the Village of Elburn (hereinafter the "Village") for the construction of an Anderson Road extension including a bridge over the Union Pacific Railroad Tracks and Metra Coach Yard (hereinafter the "Project"); and
WHEREAS, the IGA provides for a mutually satisfactory allocation of financial responsibilities for the Village and the County as it relates to maintenance subsequent to completion of to the Project; and
WHEREAS, maintenance, including repairs to the bridge are necessary as part of the Project, of which the County is financially responsible for 50% (fifty percent) of the cost, as set forth within the IGA; and
WHEREAS, the County's portion of the Project costs have been determined to be $33,185.58.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kane County Board that the sum of Thirty Three Thousand One Hundred Eighty Five and 58/100 Dollars ($33,185.58) is hereby appropriated with Eighteen Thousand Nine Hundred Seventy Three and 22/100 Dollars ($18,973.22) from Local Option Fund #520, Line Item #73000 (Road Construction) and Fourteen Thousand Two Hundred Twelve and 36/100 Dollars ($14,212.36) from Local Option Fund #520, Line Item #50140 (Engineering Services) for the County's financial responsibility relative to the Anderson Road Improvement Project.
